Ministry Highlight: Young Adults
We love young adults. We love college students, young professionals, non-believers and everyone in between. Our mission at The Net is to connect these young adults to Jesus, create a trustworthy community and multiply disciple-makers. We are committed to creating a welcoming, real and encouraging environment that makes everyone feel like this is the place they belong.
How Did We Get Here?
Believe it or not, The Net Ministry began with only six people. Six people, with a passion for Jesus, met in a basement and started doing a Bible study together. Adam Lynch, the young adult pastor, had a vision for young adults in Brownsburg. He had a vision for a place that young adults could call home. A place where they could struggle without judgement, but also receive mentorship and teaching. He wanted to close the gap after high school when so many young adults fall away from their relationship with Christ. So he started working on that vision. Slowly but surely, that group of six people outgrew the basement and moved into the church. In January of 2015 The Net had their first official worship night with music and preaching. Since then, the ministry has grown to around 150 people, and it continues to grow!
Growing Our Community
Many young adults fall away from their relationship with Christ once they enter the world of college. They struggle with finding a community of people who are trustworthy, honest or believers. They fall into unhealthy patterns or groups of friends; they feel isolated and unaccepted. At The Net we believe that God has created us to do life together. Our small groups are designed to help young adults grow in their faith and develop long lasting relationships that they can depend on.
